Commissioned by Guðný Jónasdóttir for her final recital at the Royal Academy of Music, London, in June 2013. Another contributor to this version of the piece was cellist Clare O´Connell with her performances in Berkhamsted December 2013 and London, England in 2014. This piece was originally written during January – June 2013 and then revised in September 2013.

Founded in 1997, the critically acclaimed CHROMA is a distinguished, London-based, flexible chamber ensemble dedicated both to new music and to revisiting classic repertoire in fresh and exciting contexts; mentoring the next generation of composers, and involving audiences in compelling, inspirational experiences. Collaborations include Tête à Tête (Associate Ensemble, which includes developing new works through include Tête à Tête:The Opera Festival); ROH; The Opera Group; Live at LICA, Lancaster; Spitalfields Festival; Little Missenden Festival; Deal Festival and Iford Festival. This year CHROMA is working with student composers at RHUL, RAM, Oxford University and RWCMD.

The Riot Ensemble is a flexible, artist-driven organization that strives to make contemporary music exciting and relevant to all kinds of people in the UK and beyond. Each Riot Ensemble performance is uniquely designed and produced by the artists involved. In 2013, the Riot Ensemble performed works by more than three-dozen composers in venues ranging from LSO St.Luke's to Guy's and St. Thomas' Hospitals. The Ensemble is already one of the leading UK performers of work by emerging international composers, and in 2013 gave UK premieres to composers such as Amy Beth Kirsten (USA), Gustavo Penha (Brazil), Giovanni Albini (Italy).
